Rebirth of the Savoy

Welcome to Stompin at tha Savoy

Its  new year and a new location for the blog. I have maintained a simplistic design although I will still be making tweaks along the way. I have added most of the old content although it may be slightly out of order. And feel free to play with the IPOD and definitely subscribe as the content will be free flowing. I will continue to bring art, music, cinema, political & social commentary but in addition there will be a weekly list of upcoming events in the DC area and some national events as well. So for those who are new to the Savoy feel free to check out the old content and catch the vibe. For those familiar feel free to relive old post. Friday’s will still be “The Box Fridays” and Tuesdays will be for upcoming events. With that said

Tuesday the 18th – Rams Head Onstage Annapolis – Eric Roberson f. Angela Johnson
Friday  the 21st – Rams Head Live Baltimore – Chrisette Michelle


As things get flowing more the Events list will expand but dont expect any club listings, this will strictly be live events.

Michael Jackson video game

At the Electronic Entertainment Expo, the gaming companies unveil new motion-sensor systems. A software company Ubisoft, also revealed that they are in the process of developing a Michael Jackson video game. The game would use this new motion-sensor technology in which the objective is to have the player get points by matching MJ’s dance moves. This sounds ok, but I think I prefer the old school Moonwalker game. Where Mike saves the kids and dancing all over bad guys. Once you find all the kids bubbles comes out and jumps on your shoulder to take you to fight the big boss at the end of the level. Oh yea give me that Michael Jackson video. Make a sequel to it for thriller.








The more I thought about it, it made me go out and find the game. Feel free to download the game.
